John Cullen
John Cullen is a stand-up comedian, podcaster, teacher, and writer currently residing in Calgary, Alberta. He has been performing stand-up for over a decade and has made televised appearances at the Just for Laughs, Halifax, and Winnipeg Comedy Festivals, as well as making regular appearances on CBC Radio’s The Debaters.
His podcast, Blocked Party, has been downloaded nearly three million times, and has been named a top comedy podcast by both the The A.V. Club and Vulture. He also co-hosts the niche but popular The P.O.D. Kast with Bryan Quinby and What is…? a Jeopardy Podcast with Emily Heller.
In 2024 John released his first ever narrative podcast Broomgate: A Curling Scandal in association with Kelly&Kelly, USG Audio and CBC Podcasts.
He has released two comedy albums on Comedy Records, 2017’s Most Likely to Be a Comedian and 2020’s Long Stories for No Reason. Both charted at #1 on the iTunes Comedy Charts and can frequently be heard on Sirius XM.
