SUMMARY:X92.9 One Weekend Only Presents Valley & JJ Wilde
DESCRIPTION:Event Details \n\n\n\nGeneral Admission – All Ages \n\n\n\nDate: Friday\, March 28\, 2025 \n\n\n\nDoors: 6:30 PM \n\n\n\nShow Time: 8:00 PM \n\n\n\nEvent Cost: Tickets from $44.99 (Plus applicable fees) \n\n\n\nAbout This Event \n\n\n\nValleyJuno Award nominated band Valley return this year with their most intimate and personal record yet. Water the Flowers\, Pray for a Garden (out August 30 via Universal Music Canada/Capitol Records) is an exploration of grief and resilience from one of today’s most exciting alternative-pop bands. \n\n\n\nSince forming 10 years ago\, Valley have accrued over 1 billion streams globally\, having appeared on viral charts in the US\, Philippines\, Korea\, Japan and more. Along with their three Juno Award nominations\, the band has also garnered praise from Consequence\, Wonderland\, American Songwriter and CBC. Helping prompt much of their global recognition was “Like 1999\,” a gold certified hit that went viral on TikTok. Valley have also become known for their high-energy live shows\, which have been brought to renowned festivals like Life Is Beautiful\, Governors Ball\, Slow Life and Wunderstruck as well as their debut US TV performance as part of Stephen Colbert’s #LiveAtHome session. \n\n\n\nHaving opened for artists like Lennon Stella\, Dermot Kennedy\, COIN and the Band CAMINO\, Valley also nearly sold out their first-ever North American headlining tour. Valley’s latest album was born out of a three-year-old demo of the LP’s title track and was eventually written while members Rob Laska\, Karah James and Alex Dimauro isolated in a cabin with executive producer Chase Lawrence of COIN. This will be the band’s first album without one of the founding members Mickey Brandolino\, whose decision to leave the band inspired many of the lyrics. \n\n\n\nJJ WildeWhen asked to choose between music and a relationship\, there’s only ever been one answer for JJ Wilde. Music has permeated every part of her life since childhood\, and it’s something she’s held closely; an unwavering connection she’s fought to foster. The result is a meteoric rise over the past 18 months\, putting her squarely on the radar of rock fans around the world\, breaking records and helping to break the glass ceiling for women in rock. Her debut single “The Rush” saw global radio airplay\, hitting #1 on OUI-FM in France\, and spending an unprecedented 10 weeks at #1 on Canada’s three rock radio charts surpassing artists like Pearl Jam\, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters. That momentum helped propel her to a SOCAN Rock Award\, 2021 Indie Award and the 2021 JUNO Award for Rock Album of the Year for her debut album\, Ruthless. It was the first time in 25 years that a woman took home that award\, the last being Alanis Morrisette in 1996 for Jagged Little Pill. \n\n\n\nIn May 2021\, JJ dropped her EP project WILDE\, which featured #1 rock radio hits “Best Boy” and “Mercy”\, alongside her new single “Off The Rails” which hit #2 on the Alternative chart in Canada. Featured prominently on Spotify’s billboards at Times Square in New York and Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto alongside significant global editorial support across the board\, her profile continues to grow. \n\n\n\nGet tickets for day two of An X Only Weekend Only Event With Valley\, JJ Wilde & July Talk here: https://www.ticketmaster.ca/

SUMMARY:Killswitch Engage With Special Guests Kublai Khan TX\, Fit For A King & Frozen Soul
DESCRIPTION:Event Details \n\n\n\nGeneral Admission – 18+ Only \n\n\n\nDate: Saturday\, March 22\, 2025 \n\n\n\nDoors: 5:30 PM \n\n\n\nShow Time: 6:30 PM \n\n\n\nEvent Cost: Tickets from $65.00 (Plus applicable fees) \n\n\n\nAbout This Performance\n\n\n\nRight before the turn of the century\, casual jam sessions between a group of friends unassumingly lit the fuse for an insane 25-year ride to follow. Hailing from Western Massachusetts (where the only thing icier than the freeway in winter is the blunt sense of humor shared by the locals)\, Killswitch Engage — Adam Dutkiewicz [guitar]\, Joel Stroetzel [guitar]\, Mike D’Antonio [bass]\, Justin Foley [drums]\, and Jesse Leach [vocals] — always stood apart. For as deadly serious as their airtight technical riffing is\, they also knew how to have a good time\, riling up crowds with uncontainable energy and unpredictable performances. They could bludgeon with the best of them or serve up the kind of sing-along banger you could blast with the windows down. \n\n\n\nFrom day one\, they naturally appealed to the headbangers\, hardcore kids\, and heartbroken alike. In 2002\, Alive Or Just Breathing sent shockwaves through the culture\, landing on Decibel’s “The Top 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time.” Generated 3 billion-plus streams\, they picked up gold and platinum plaques for The End of Heartache and As Day Light Dies respectively. They received three GRAMMY® Award nominations for “Best Metal Performance” and cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 with a trio of consecutive releases]. 2019’s Atonement represented a critical high watermark with praise from Forbes\, Revolver\, and NME who christened it “one of the most engaged and exciting records that Killswitch has ever made.” The guys packed houses on headline tours and held their own sharing bills with acts from Iron Maiden\, Slipknot\, and Slayer to My Chemical Romance\, Rise Against\, and Coheed & Cambria. Killswitch Engage harness all of their strengths on their ninth full-length LP\, This Consequence [Metal Blade Records]. They’ve distilled the hallmarks of their signature sound into a bruising\, often brutal\, and at times brilliantly bright body of work.

SUMMARY:Walk Right Back – The Everly Brothers Story
DESCRIPTION:Event Details\n\n\n\nReserved Seating – All Ages \n\n\n\nDate: Friday\, March 21\, 2025 \n\n\n\nDoors Open: 6:00 PM \n\n\n\nShow Time: 7:30 PM \n\n\n\nEvent Cost: Starting at $52.00 (Plus applicable fees) \n\n\n\nAbout This Event\n\n\n\nPresented by: Paquette Productions \n\n\n\nDIRECT FROM THE UK! Following an incredible sell-out tour\, Walk Right Back returns to stages in 2025 by popular demand. From the producers of smash hit show ‘That’ll Be The Day\,’ this phenomenal production tells the story of the most successful musical duo of all time – The Everly Brothers. Featuring hits such as “Bye Bye Love\,” “All I Have To Do Is Dream” and “Cathy’s Clown\,” this unique concert-based musical entwines the wonderful\, sad yet glorious story of The Everly Brothers. \n\n\n\nThe show follows the brothers’ rise to fame from humble country beginnings to superstardom\, through their decade-long feud to their glorious reunion which gave them back to each other\, and back to the world. \n\n\n\nWith “harmonies from heaven” that influenced The Beatles\, The Beach Boys\, and Simon & Garfunkel\, The Everly Brothers were unmatched in their talent. Also featuring songs from a couple of the Everly Brothers’ good friends\, Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison. \n\n\n\nProducer Trevor Payne (That’ll Be The Day) says: “The Everly Brothers were an original and unique act that had a sound like nothing else. Their harmonies were so tight that every group wanted to emulate them. Before that there was a singer\, a band and backing vocals\, The Everlys entwined all of them and created “the harmony group.” Walk Right Back is the first show of its kind to tell this phenomenal story of two brothers and their unforgettable music. This is a show not to be missed!”

SUMMARY:The Irish Rovers
DESCRIPTION:Event Details\n\n\n\nShow Date: Saturday\, March 15\, 2025 \n\n\n\nDoors Open: 6:30 PM \n\n\n\nShow Time: 8:00 PM \n\n\n\nTicket Price: Tickets starting at $49.99 (Plus applicable fees) \n\n\n\nAbout This Performance\n\n\n\nFeaturing George Millar\, Ian Millar\, Geoffrey Kelly (flutes and whistle)\, Gerry O’Connor (fiddle)\, Fred Graham (bodhran)\, Davey Walker (keyboards)\, Shane Farrell (banjo)\, Jimmy Keane (accordion) and Kevin Evans (singer). The Irish Rovers formed in Toronto\, Canada. They have produced over 45 albums in North America and many more internationally with the band’s 2014 album 50 Years being touted as “The Greatest of their Greatest Hits”. In 2023\, The Irish Rovers will celebrate their 60th Anniversary. \n\n\n\n2022 began with the legendary Irish Rovers hitting the Spotify’s Viral Top 50 in both the US and the UK/ Ireland\, and ended with recording a new album\, No End In Sight. They thank young Nathan Evans for carrying on the tradition of the sea shanty\, and have included their original 1977 version of “The Wellerman” (with a happier ending) on the new album. The popular No End In Sight album includes a new anthem for our time\, “Hey Boys Sing Us A Song\,” which has been nominated Canadian Folk Music Awards’ 2023 Single of the Year. The song\, written by George Millar was inspired by the last two years of frustrations and includes his welcome refrain\, “We all need some happiness back in our lives!” \n\n\n\nCanada has been home to the Rovers since its inception in the early 60’s. Millar says\, “It’s been a bit odd\, being from both Ireland and Canada. Some fans have found it confusing as well\, asking where we’re from. At times I’ve felt like a man with no country.” This lead to the song “Band Without A Country” from their 2020 album Saints And Sinners which tells their story from Ireland to Toronto and beyond. The Rovers’ 2019 release Up Among The Heather\, The Scottish Album reflected the Scots influence on their Northern Irish roots. \n\n\n\n2018 was the Gold Anniversary of The Unicorn hitting the top of the charts\, which took the Rovers from folk clubs of America to concert halls and television sets worldwide. “The Unicorn” song\, which was in fact a last minute add to the original album\, left us all with a tear or two\, plus the unanswered question\, “Whatever happened to the Unicorns when the ark left them stranded on the shore?” Since that first big hit\, the band returned to the charts 15 more times\, nevertheless the magic of The Unicorn remained. To pay appropriate tribute in its 50th year\, the Rovers release The Unicorn\, The Continuing Story (CD & Special Limited Edition LP) which includes all new recordings\, plus the sequel to “The Unicorn” song\, which answers the question of the last fifty years. \n\n\n\nThe band has regularly toured Canada\, the United States\, New Zealand and Australia. In 2010\, they released Gracehill Fair (Rover Records)\, which received high accolades from Maui to Belfast\, and in 2011 released both Home In Ireland\, and their first Christmas CD in over a decade\, Merry Merry Time of Year. In September 2010\, the lads returned to their roots\, to film in Northern Ireland for their DVD / television special\, “Home in Ireland.” Life in Ireland\, and emigration have long been the focus of the band’s original music. Home In Ireland is a tribute to their homeland and the Irish emigrants who long to return. \n\n\n\nThe Irish Rovers formed their own record company in 1993\, which finally gave them full control over their music production. Since then\, several of their albums have been recorded in both Canada and Ireland. Over the years\, the band has survived management changes\, record label changes\, personnel changes and still over 46 years later\, they’re selling out concert halls internationally. Since ’95\, they’ve released ten more albums including Come Fill Up Your Glasses\, Down by the Lagan Side\, Still Rovin\, Gracehill Fair and two double album Greatest Hits\, Gems and 40 Years A-Rovin. Recently\, their recording of “Drunken Sailor” reached a younger generation with over 5 million hits on various YouTube sites\, which in turn lead to the release the Drunken Sailor album.

Boasting over 125 MILLION global streams and numerous gold and platinum-certified singles\, he has topped the Canadian country Billboard charts multiple times and reached No.1 with his platinum-selling single\, “Forever’s Gotta Start Somewhere.” Brownlee’s signature sound blends elements of pop\, country\, and rock\, drawing equal inspiration from the classic country sounds of the ’80s and the modern pop country sounds of the 2000’s. \n\n\n\nHaving spent the last three years penning tracks for his upcoming sixth studio album\, Brownlee is excited to be releasing new music.
